Just Because Cards Tips and Tricks - Part 1

Check out this video to see some great tips and tricks for use with the new Cricut Just Because Cards cartridge! This is Part 1 - tomorrow, I will upload Part 2! I hope this helps you to use the cartridge. Click HERE if you can't see the video!

Here is some other info:

When you cut a 5-1/2" rectangular envelope, it is convenient to have it fit onto a 12x12 sheet of paper, as opposed to 12x24 paper. The following envelopes will cut a 5-1/2" envelope on a 12x12 sheet of paper:

Boot (key 42)
peach (key 43)
sundae (key 45)
lemonade (key 46)
pig (key 47)

Wondering why I chose 5-1/2"? Well, that makes a nice sized card (approx. 4" x 5-1/2", almost an A2) and it's nice to have a matching envelope that is made from a 12x12 sheet of paper.

Hope this helps!

  10. yeap...it does helps! Just remember when Joy says she keeps it at X size she also means the "real size button" must be OFF. This way you get all the cuts accordingly to X size.

Thanks for the Tips, I made this card last week and wasted a lot of cardstock the shadow does come up larger. So I brought down the size from 5 1/2" to 5 1/4 inch and it was much better.

    Nice card. Thanks again

I am waiting patiently for that Just Because cartridge to be 'located' near me somewhere and keeping my fingers crossed for it to go on sale for it's just so hard to afford these for most of us sigh so I'll keep dreaming and hoping I win the state lottery lol.

  67. Thank you so much for this video. I have had this cart for a while and was wondering why my cards were matching up in size. I never even thought of the enevlope at the bottom of the row. Did I miss that in the cart somewhere or is that something you figured out. Either way you brought it to my attention. THANKS!

  68. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Your tips helped a lot. Especially that the envelope on the bottom matches the cards above, and to make an envelope before the card to make sure it will fit :) THANKS!!
