Sizzix Eclips Machine...

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Sizzix is getting into the electronic die cut machine market with their new release, the Eclips machine. Here's the first photo I could find of this baby. List is $499 and Scrap Mart has them on pre-order for $399. It uses cartridges that will have a price point between $29.99 and $49.99. Click HERE for more info and to pre-order. Should come out in February.

I think that's a little pricey unless it could do alot more than my expression. I love my cricut!!

I love the sizzix "big shot" because it is universal for the die cut industry....I wonder if they are doing the same with this machine?

Is it just me, or does that look like a Gypsy-type device with it? Perhaps that's the real difference - that the controls are portable?

Thanks for the info. We can always count on you to give us the scoop! The cartridge price is more reasonable than the cricut carts ( new ones anyway). I guess there's room for everyone and it's nice to have a choice.

looks nice, but i have the gypsy and can not afford another cutter. the ones who are on the fence though might enjoy having another choice before buying a design gadget. i got to learn my gypsy first, lol.

but always good to get the up to date news on all the got to have gadgets on market.

i love my sizzix big shot. maybe sizzix will give one away. i would always take a free one, lol.

I wouldn't trade my Cricut and Cuttlebug for anything. I love my machines. Thank you for the scoop anyway. Always a good idea to keep abreast of the latest news.

Thanks for the low down . I love my Cricut and Gypsy though, you'd have to prise them away from my cold dead hands !

In 3 hours it will be midnight in the East Coast. Hopefully they will release all the info by then. If it is a die cut machine combined with a portable handheld device as the Gypsy, it is worth the price. It is like getting the expression plus the Gypsy for $399. Well, with time the price will go down.
