For those who didn't know it, National Scrapbook Day is the first Saturday in May of every year. It was started by Creative Memories in 1994 as a marketing ploy, I mean, celebration for scrappers everywhere to join together and share the cropping goodness. ;-) This day often coincides with my anniversary (May 7) and is usually right before Mother's Day (except this year) so I have yet to do anything fun like a two day crop on National Scrapbooking Day.
But this year, that may change! While I can't go anywhere physically, the internet has lots to offer up in the way of fun, virtual cropping, hourly challenges and prizes and of course, my favorite, SALES!
First, I would be re-miss to my Cricut readers if I didn't mention that the Pink Stamper is having a fun all day event on her blog on Saturday from 10 am - 8 pm central US time, which will include a whole slew of videos, challenges and giveaways. Don't worry if you miss some of it because she is extending the time you have to participate. See her blog HERE!
StampingScrapping online store is also have a bunch of online sales,as is Two Peas in A Bucket, Scrapbook.com and Oh My Crafts. Click on the names to go out to their sites.
Finally, Nancy over at Scrapbook Update has done a phenomenal job compiling a listing of all the sites having virtual scrapping events, including virtual crops, giveaways, etc. Click HERE to go to her site! Nancy is in the know and her articles are always timely and well written, IMO.
Have fun!!
