Scrap Etc., these stores in Alabama, put on a huge scrapbooking event each year and starting on August 4, sign up for their 2008 event starts. Basically, it will be at the Grand Ole Opry Gaylord Resort in Nashville on April 17-19, 2008 and there will be seven classes and one lecture. Heidi Swapp, Jenni Bowlin, Angelia Wiggington and others will be teaching. From what I hear on 2peas, the event should be fantastic and even, life-changing. I am really considering going as I am a little tired of CKU. Their website is scrapetc.com and here is some information from the site:
“Tell The Story Only You Can Tell”. That is the message behind the Scrap Etc. 2008 Event. We believe you have a unique story, one that cannot be told by anyone the way you can tell it. The emotions you feel, the thoughts you think, the everyday you…we want to capture that this weekend in 8 unique workshops. Our heart behind this event is for you to create some really AMAZING projects, but we also want you to leave motivated and encouraged in your life. I know this may seem really weird…but I want you to walk away from this “scrapbooking” event and think, “this weekend changed my life…it gave me renewed passion for scrapbooking and a new outlook on life. I believe the line up of teachers this year will have no problem bringing this message to you. I get goose bumps just thinking about it.
We are offering 8 unique workshops and you get to take every single one of them. Every attendee will receive the exact same experience. We are honored to have Heidi Swapp teach not just one but two different workshops this year. The other teachers will be teaching one workshop each. A couple of the teachers will be giving you assignments beginning in September to work on until the event. All project specific materials will be provided. You will be responsible only to bring your basic tools and adhesives and your completed assignments with you. These Workshops will consist of lectures, altered projects, mini-albums, layouts and more. You will leave with a wide variety of projects that "Tell Your Story".
