Blog Headers....

Why do I make things so hard?

Case in point - I wanted a custom blog header that looked really cool. But, as I thought about it, I realized I couldn't use any of my digital scrapbooking kits and their elements as they are copyrighted! So, I thought about making my own digi elements and papers. I got out my new Renee Pearson book,"Digital Designs for Scrapbooking 2", which shows you how to do this. I figured it would be a good motivator to learn more about digi scrapping. The more involved with the process I got, the harder it all seemed. I realized it would take weeks for me to make a header that I liked.

So, I google "blog banners" and find out The Shabby Shoppe is selling them for $2.50 or a pack of 4 for $9.99. Suddenly, the decision about whether I should make my own got super easy...So, what you see above is one of The Shabby Shoppe's blog headers. Since they are made for blogs, no problems for private blogging use.

Now, since I figured that out, I had a notion that adding the blog banner would be hard. So, instead of trying to just add it, I do a search on blogger and find the blogger dummies site and start looking at HTML code which looks like gibberish to me.... Thank Goodness, I don't try to alter the HTML code! So, then I try the easy way - it took like four clicks and there was my header!

Now, I am wondering what else in life I am making harder than it really could be....
